The timeless music of Duke Ellington will take center stage at The Pump House on Saturday, June 7, in a special performance featuring dynamic new arrangements by one of Duke’s original arrangers, nominated Bob Freedman. This one-night-only event will showcase a powerhouse ensemble of renowned jazz artists, including saxophonists Dan Moretti and Joe Esposito, trombonist Jeff Galindo, pianist Tim Ray, bassist Marty Ballou, and drummer Marty Richards.
Audiences can expect a fresh LATIN/BRAZILIAN as well as traditional swing take on Ellington’s classic works, reimagined through Freedman’s and Moretti’s rich and sophisticated arrangements, performed by some of the region’s most accomplished jazz musicians.
